A warm welcome to the Newton Abbot Bowling Club website

​

The club was founded over 100 years ago in 1911 and is noted for its friendliness to all visitors whether it is new members or visiting touring teams. With the opening of a new South Devon Link Road the club is easily accessible for touring holidays based in Torbay. The club is situated just 2 minutes walk across the road from Newton Abbot railway station. The green is in an enviable position within the grounds of Courtenay Park with its wide open space planted with many shrubs and trees and only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Why not drop your bowls gear early and take advantage of the many restaurants within walking distance - this can be arranged. 

 

The club has around 80 members, many of whom are highly competitive with regular appearances at Leamington in National finals plus achieving national and county honours. Other members look forward to the many tourist matches; playing and socialising with our visitors both before and in the club house bar after the game. Our willing volunteers are also well versed in providing light lunches and teas where required.​
